Week 18

WIIIILLLLIIIEEEEE!!!!!!!!  I am so excited for him and really sad that I missed his wedding!  It sounds like they had a great wedding and I am glad that Willie is off tinder for good. Well this week is great!  We went to the temple and I really am so grateful for the revelation that we can receive in the temple!  I learned some amazing things this time!  Mom- thanks for sending that spiritual thought about the sealer telling you guys that some of the greatest things come from doing things that aren't convenient!  and I am going to apply that right now because we don't  have much time to write today because of the time we took going to the temple so I am going to still make sure that my companion and I are able to be out in the street working by 6:00.  I feel so loved by the Lord this week!  I know that he himself is guiding my life even though sometimes it is hard to see it!  I will write you more next week!  and tell some stories and send some pictures.  Love you all so much!

Week 17

I will start this week by answering your questions....Things are going great with my companion!  It is hard not to love someone when you serve them and with them so much!  We have our differences in ideas but that doesn't matter because we have the same focus..therefore we are able to put our differences aside!  A lot of times he wants to convince people that our message is true with long passages from the Bible...and that is one of the hardest things for me because I want to follow his counsel as my trainer but I have a firm belief that the Book of Mormon will testify of itself.  The other day we were planning for a lesson on the power of the Book of Mormon in conversion and he started planning to share 3 scriptures from the bible that were going to convince this person that the bible says that the Book of Mormon is true!  I started to get a little bit frustrated in my head because I felt like we should read from the Book of Mormon so they could feel the spirit that it has and then the impression came to my mind, as I humbled myself enough to say a little prayer that I should just go with what my companion wanted to teach so the spirit could preside in our companionship.  That Lord was telling me that our relationship´was more important than this lesson plan and that everything would work out.  That night we taught the lesson and the spirit change our plans and we ended up reading for 3 Nephi.  The spirit was so strong and I know the Lord was directing our discussion.  I know that I am always going to see the best possible outcomes if I continue to follow these impressions of the spirit.
Something interesting about my companion is that one time he had 4 girlfriends at the same time!
We see missionaries every day because we eat with the other missionaies in our ward  and almost every Monday we have a zone activity to play soccer!  But there is a new rule that we shouldn't been seen in public in a group of 5 or more missionaries so that means we cannot hike the cerro de la cilla anymore!
The misison president is reall good!  I see him once or twice per transfer!  We have only had zone conference 1 time  and it is in the stake center.   We are going to have interview with the president tomorrow!  We go to the temple 1 per transfer.  I think that is all of your questions for now

This week his been one of the best in my mission!  I can not express the Joy that I had to be able to baptize Eulalio!  We had a final lesson with him and his wife before the baptismal service and the spirit was so strong!  He told us that he was really nervous to make this decision after having so many years thinking about it.  I shared with him how I felt before entering the mtc and how I was able to push forward in faith and do what the Lord command me to do by picturing the Lord standing side by side with me feeling the exact same feelings that I was feeling.  During this lessons his wife started to cry because she his been waiting so long for this day.  Eulalio told us how many emotions he his been feeling in these days and how he knows what he is doing is right.  Everything went smoothly in the baptism (oh except one thing...I forgot how pronunciate one of the words of the ordinance, so one of the witnesses had to whisper it to me.  I don't  know how I forgot because I practice so many times!)  haha.  I'll send some pictures.  We are planing to have 10 baptsims in this transfer in our ward.  My companion and I have 7 baptsims planned and the other missionaries have 3.  We are going to have to work so hard but I know the Lord is preparing the people and I just need to be an instrument in His hands!
I am going to give a 15 minute talk next sunday.  I am a little nervous but more then anything I am surprised of how much spanish I have learned and how I actually feel prepared!

Well that is all for this week!

Dad!  happy fathers day!  I miss you so much and wish I could have been there with you to show much gratefulness for all you have done for me and all you continue to do for me!  Abby looks so good in the pictures and there is not better dad that she could be given.  She is one lucky child!  Thanks for the example of love you have shown me with the love you show for my mother!  You are amazing and I can't help but think of my Father in Heaven when I think of you!

MOM-  Thanks for the letter!  You sound so good!  Alex is lucky to have a mom that supports all his partying!

ALEX-  I love you so much!  Keep up having so much fun but don't forget the things that are most important in life!

Cameron!  I read your letters this week!  Hombre! you sound so good and I can not express how amzing it is to hear your testimony and how grateful I am right now to have read your letters. I had my testimony strengthened by listening to your stories of your fatih in Christ!  You are going to be such a good missionary!  Are you starting to love the spritures!  They are so amazing and they invite the spirit so strong in our lives!

I am loving the oppotunities that I have every day to see the spirit change the lives of others!

Week 15

You always say that your week is pretty boring back at home!  haha I don't know if that is to make me feel better that I am miss anything at home!  It sounds pretty crazy to me!  Someone hit the gym with their car!  Alex has hives and ............!  I don't  know what more you could ask for to have an unboring week!:)  Oh maybe that Cameron was walking aound with his shirt off at church!  hahah!  And to add to all of that -you have a baby!  Abby looks so cute and I can believe I have a sister every week I see the pictures!
This week has been really goood!  The chapel actually hasn't opened yet!  It keeps getting delayed for some reason, so we can't have lessons there yet!  But we are having church services there even though it is not finished!  hahah.

I feel so blessed to be here in Metroplex!  The work is hastening here in our ward and we are seeing the Lords hand in everything!

I am going to tell you about an investagtor named Eulalio.  He has 40 years and he so cool!  We have been teaching him for the whole time I have been on my mission!  He is the husband of a lady who is an active member of the church!  She served a mission and then married Eulalio who isn't a member!  All her kids are member,s just not her husband! Guess how long Eulalio has been listening to the missionaries?  2 years?  5 years?  11 year? or 13 years?   13 YEARS!!!!!!    He has literally been listening to the missionaries for 13 year!  He has never been able to progress and be baptized!  I bet he probably has 10 different registers of teaching in our area book! hahah   Well he is going to be baptized in 13 days!  I can't express how grateful I am to be put in this area at this time that the Lord has prepared him for baptism!  It is amazing!  The Lord really does work in his time.  This is a perfect example of why we should never give up because "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God".  The scripture doesn't say "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God "IF"  the investigators progress in the time we want them to!"  No it says the worth of souls is great in the sight of God even if it takes 13 years to bring one of the sons of God to the waters of baptism so he can have eternal exaltation!

I was feeling pretty bad one day this week and I had no idea why...  We were just about to leave the house and I didn't want to leave feeling so down and without the spirit!  I got on my knees to pray to the Lord!  As my knees hit the floor the idea came to my mind to not ask for a single thing in my pray and to just express every bit of gratefulness that I had in my soul.  I learned a life lesson in those 15 minute!  Whenever we feel bad, all we need to do is give a prayer in which we only express our gratitude and then get to work! There is no better cure for feeling bad then to see the blessing we have in our lives and then forget about ourselves and put all our enegy in making someone elses life better!  Try it!    It was one of the best days I have had in my mission!  The Lord know us personally and loves each of his children!

Love you all family!

Hey mom can you send me the recipe for gregs cookies and say hi to Greg  for me!

Dad -  Yeah it is so hot at night!  but we actually have an air conditioner! hahah.....yeah we are spoilled!  Our house is so nice!  Yeah for sure....thunder and pacers!  I hope the pacers win it all!  That is awesome that Lilon and Bryce are going to visit!  They are all coming while I'm gone!  hahah  Send me pictures of the stairs! I  want to see!

I love thinking only in missionary work!  I am doing great and loving life down here!  We usually play soccer in an outdoor court!  They play soccer in cement more then anything so that is what we do and we play with members and whatever other people want to play.. Last week we played with some kids and this one crazy guy who was sniffing wood putty out of a bottle to get high while he was playing! hahha.
Love you dad!  I really liked the video this week
